Alanna Kraaijeveld - Dancer
Based in Toronto, Alanna is currently working with Susanna Hood of hum and Ame Henderson of Public Recordings. She joins Dancemakers as a guest dance artist for their choreographic lab in March 2009.
Alanna was a company member of Le Groupe Dance Lab in Ottawa under the artistic direction of Order of Canada recipient Peter Boneham for four seasons. There she participated in the research and development of new dance works by national, international, seasoned and emerging artists including Louise Bédard, Tony Chong, Lionel Hoche, and Tedd Robinson. Ms Kraaijeveld has choreographed and presented work for Le Groupe Dance Lab's In-House, as part of Movement Arts Ottawa's Stepping Stones series and has taught professional contemporary classes in Toronto, workshops for theatre students at the University of Ottawa and professional training program students at the School of Dance in Ottawa. Alanna was a scholarship student and is a graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre's Professional Training Program.
